Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Vektar Tech Pvt. Ltd. ("Vektar Tech", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit vektartech.com, request a demo, sign up for updates, apply for a job, or email us. It does not cover the products and platforms we build for customers — data in those is governed by the agreement with each customer.
1. Who we are
Vektar Tech Pvt. Ltd. is a company registered in Nepal. Our headquarters is at Taranagar-05, Dhangadhi, Kailali, Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal, and we also have an office in Kathmandu.
We decide how and why your personal information is processed for the purposes described here, and we are responsible for it.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us: in the demo form — your name, email, company and message; in "Follow the build" — your email; in a job application — the role, your name, email, phone number, profile links (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio), your cover letter, your CV and anything you include in it; and anything you write to us by email.
Information collected automatically: when you use the site, our hosting and security provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure, block abuse and rate-limit automated traffic. Our website analytics are cookie-free and only show aggregated statistics (for example, page views and countries) — they do not identify you.
Information from others: if you share profile links, we may look at what is publicly available on them as part of evaluating your application.
We do not use the site to build advertising profiles, and we do not buy personal data.
3. Please do not send sensitive information
Do not include sensitive personal information in forms or CVs — for example citizenship or passport numbers, bank details, health information, religious or political beliefs, or photographs — unless we specifically ask for it at a later stage of hiring. If you include it anyway, we will only use it as far as necessary to handle your application.
4. How we use your information, and why
We use your information to: reply to your enquiry and arrange demos; send the occasional build update you asked for; assess your job application and contact you about it; keep business records; protect the site, our systems and our users against spam, fraud and abuse; comply with the law; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do this because you asked us to (by submitting a form, which you can withdraw at any time), because it is needed to take steps you requested before a possible contract or employment, because we have a legitimate interest in running and securing our business that is not overridden by your rights, or because the law requires it.
5. Cookies, local storage and analytics
The site stores your language and theme preferences in your browser's local storage so they are remembered on your next visit. This stays on your device; you can clear it in your browser settings.
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process technical signals and set strictly necessary cookies to check that you are a person rather than a bot. Cloudflare Web Analytics is used without cookies.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
6. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and only as we instruct: Cloudflare (website hosting, security, bot protection, email routing and analytics), Resend (delivery of form submissions by email) and Google (our email inbox). We may also share information with our professional advisers (such as lawyers and accountants) under a duty of confidentiality.
We disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a court or regulator, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, property or safety or that of others. If Vektar Tech is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may pass to the new owner, who must continue to protect it in line with this policy.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers outside Nepal, including in the United States and the European Union. Where this happens we rely on the providers' security commitments and contractual safeguards to keep your information protected.
8. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole site, restrict access to submitted information to the people who need it, protect our accounts with two-factor authentication, and use rate limiting and bot protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
9. How long we keep it
Job applications (including CVs) are kept for 12 months after the hiring decision for the role, so we can consider you for a later opening, and then deleted. Demo requests and other enquiries are kept for 24 months after our last contact with you, and then deleted unless you become a customer or partner. "Follow the build" sign-ups are kept until you ask us to remove you.
We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it is needed for an ongoing legal claim. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time — see section 10.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including Nepal's Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw your consent. To make a request, emailprivacy@vektartech.com.
We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and in some cases the law allows or requires us to keep certain information — if so, we will tell you why.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the relevant authority in Nepal or, if you live elsewhere, to the data protection authority where you live.
11. Children
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and applicants must meet the minimum working age under Nepalese law. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
The site may link to other websites and services (such as LinkedIn or GitHub). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version; if we make significant changes, we will make that clear on this page. This policy is provided in English and Nepali — if the two differ, the English version applies.
